Part of my work stems from DIY electronics culture & community. And, ultimately, a love for the preservation of physical pieces of electronic music history. Through books, the internet, workshops, trial and error, I've learned just about enought to build my own electric instruments and modify legacy hardware.
2016-2022: Indian Classical Music Education
My way of performing music was strongly shaped when I was a student of Indian Classical Music and the Sitar under Darshan Kumari in Amsterdam. The delicate drone sound of the Tanpura, the improvised melodies, completely different song structure and the rhythmical patterns opened new ways for me to make music.
